Bio
Nicki Greenwood grew up in suburbia, where there wasn't much room for a horse. Instead, she fed her equine obsession with the ink and paper kind. When she ran out of horse books to read, she wrote her own. Thus began her love affair with the written word, a passion that continues to this day.
At age thirteen, Nicki entered the National Spelling Bee, and made third place runner-up in Central NY. She wrote stories and poetry for school publications and personal amusement throughout her youth. Eventually, she stumbled on the romance genre, and there she found her niche. Nicki loves blending an exciting adventure with an optimistic happy ending.
Nicki lives in upstate New York with her husband, son, and assorted pets. When she's not writing, she enjoys the arts, gardening, interior decorating, and trips to the local Renaissance Faire.
And The Black Stallion is still her hero.

- Nicki is related to James Fenimore Cooper, the well-known author of the Leatherstocking Tales and "The Last of the Mohicans."

- Nicki sidelines in web design. She is so determined to be published that she designed her entire website years before signing with an agent.
